Success achieved in negotiations with TransferWise – Armenian Hi tech industry minister

YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. Armenian High Technologies Industry Minister Hakob Arshakyan, speaking Wednesday at a press conference, said that negotiations with payments systems are under way now.


“Success has been achieved with TransferWise, which has already chosen a partner bank in Armenia and will start providing services very soon. It is a company that provides services similar to PayPal,” Arshakyan said.
He stressed that similar negotiations are underway also with two other companies, including PayPal.


TransferWise is a London-based online money transfer service founded in January 2011 by Estonians Kristo Käärmann and Taavet Hinrikus. The company supports more than 750 currency routes across the world including GBP, USD, EUR, AUD and CAD, and provides multi-currency accounts. -0-
