All government benefits to be paid in cashless way in Armenia

YEREVAN, Sept. 22. /ARKA/. The Armenian government on Thursday adopted a decision whereby starting from January 1, 2023 all types of government benefits paid to needy families, the unemployed etc. will be paid in cashless way in urban and rural communities with a population over 1,000 people, and from 2024 in the rest of the villages.

The government says that transition to the cashless method of payment will save 100 million drams for the budget in 2023.

Earlier, the government approved full transition of pension payments to the cashless method. -0-
