Financial and insurance activities recorded highest growth rate in Armenia

YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. Financial and insurance activities in 2022 grew by 46.9% year-on-year recording the highest growth rate compared to other sectors of the Armenia’s economy, according to the Armenian government’s report on the progress and results of the implementation of its plan of actions in 2022.

“Trade and services increased by 17.7%, the construction sector by 18.8%, and industry by 6.4%,” the report said.

Overall, Armenia’s economy grew by 12.6% in 2022. The GDP volume in current prices amounted to about 8.5 trillion drams, up from over 7.8 trillion drams in 2021 ($1 – 387.94 drams). -0-
