In January, Armenia's financial system evolved within the macroeconomic and monetary-credit frameworks previously established. The monetary policy adhered to the parameters set for late 2025, the banking sector continued to enhance credit intermediation, and debt policy remained a priority for financial authorities and investors.

Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan reported that the country's corporate bond market grew more than 4.4-fold between 2018 and 2025.

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and the Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Unit, Matteo Rivillini, emphasized the importance of cooperation in economic development projects, particularly in the implementation of joint programs with the private sector in the country, the government press service reported.

The Central Bank of Armenia's Board has opted to keep the refinancing rate steady, primarily because of the balance between supply and demand,  stated  the head of the bank, Martin Galstyan.

The average market exchange rate for the US dollar to the Armenian dram on February 2, 2026, increased by 0.39 points compared to January 30, reaching 379.03 drams.
