Raiffeisen International organized inaugural “Days of Armenian Banks” in Vienna

YEREVAN, September 16. /ARКА/. Initiated by the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA), the Raiffeisen Banking International (RBI) corporation hosted the first “Days of Armenian Banks” in Vienna, aimed at enhancing collaboration between the financial sectors of Armenia and Europe.

As reported by the UBA’s press service, Johann Strobl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RBI, and Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, addressed the meeting at Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI).

The Central Bank of Armenia and UBA presented the report titled “Regional Macroeconomic Prospects,” followed by presentations from RBI that focused on compliance issues, financial security, and the perspectives of European banks on the economic outlook for the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Following the main presentations, bilateral meetings and discussions were held between Armenian banks and RBI divisions.

The “Days of Armenian Banks” concluded with a reception that was attended by representatives from the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism of Austria, the Ministry of European and International Affairs of Austria, the Economic Chamber, the Austrian Development Agency, as well as leaders from the Central Bank of Armenia, the UBA, commercial banks, and other financial institutions.-0-
