The risk of raising pensions in Armenia is estimated, the fiscal space for payments is stable – Ministry of Finance

YEREVAN, February 27. /АРКА/. The risk of expenses due to the increase of pensions in Armenia has been assessed, there is a stable predictable fiscal space for the benefit of pensioners, said Arman Pogosyan, Deputy Minister of Finance.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that starting from April 1, 2026, pensions will be increased by 10,000. drams.

“The expenditure that is planned to be carried out has already been assessed, the financing is foreseeable, and the Ministry of Finance does not see any fiscal risk in this regard,” said Pogosyan at a briefing on Friday, answering the question about the impact of pension increases on the country’s budget.

The deputy minister said that the sources of financing are known, including taxes and non-taxable income.
