”Teach For Armenia” is the June beneficiary of the ”Power of One Dram”

YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. The May beneficiary of the ”The Power of One Dram” initiative was the ”Vahe Meliksetyan” Foundation. The accumulated 5.260.220 AMD will enable the foundation to organize a half-marathon in the city of Vanadzor, Lori region, encouraging a healthy lifestyle among residents and activating regional life.

The June beneficiary of the initiative is ‘’Teach For Armenia’’ foundation, which ensures access to quality education for all children in Armenia, regardless of their place of residence. The ‘’one drams’’, collected within the framework of cooperation with the Foundation, will be directed to the implementation of the Teacher Leadership Program. Thanks to the support, young specialists will be retrained and sent to regional schools to teach in schools of vulnerable communities and improve the quality of education. Within the framework of the cooperation, financial and digital literacy courses will be held for the beneficiaries of the program.

According to Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of the Communication and Social Responsibility Programs Department of Idram and IDBank, providing support to educational programs has always been in the focus of the companies. “The program solves two key problems: it trains skilled specialists and provides students with the necessary knowledge. We are confident that quality education is the foundation of a strong and developed society. Similar programs play an irreplaceable role in revealing the potential of children living in the regions, as well as in the balanced development of communities,” said Tatevik Vardevanyan.

Larisa Hovannisian, Founder and CEO of ‘’Teach For Armenia’’, notes: “We highly appreciate our partnership with IDBank and Idram, as this is much more than just financial support. It is an opportunity to invest in the professional activities of teacher leaders while creating a valuable educational experience for schoolchildren.”

The “Power of One Dram” continues to support important social, community, and educational initiatives. To participate in the initiative’s good deeds, all payments must be made through the Idram&IDBank app, IDBanking.am and banking.idram.am online platforms, Idram and IDBank terminals, and for each payment, the companies will allocate one dram to important programs.
