Euro and ruble rose, while the dollar fell: Central Bank

YEREVAN, August 20. /ARKA/. Shares of the biotech company Moderna soared 123.6% at the start of trading in the US on August 19, reaching a peak of $140.77, according to trading data. Shares of the pharmaceutical company Merck also rose 11.6% to $150.85, according to Forbes.ru.

YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. Recently, there has been an increase in cases of criminals luring citizens into suspicious financial transactions using their bank accounts or cryptocurrency accounts, as well as e-wallets or cards to transfer criminally obtained funds, in order to conceal their true origin and beneficiaries, according to a statement from the Central Bank of Armenia's press service.

YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. The average market exchange rate for the US dollar against the Armenian dram on the Armenian foreign exchange market, fell by 0.32 points on August 17, 2026, compared to August 14, to 365.82 drams.

YEREVAN, August 14. /ARКА/. A man suspected of embezzling 802.5 million drams from a bank and money laundering has been arrested in Armenia. The preliminary investigation has been completed, the press service of the RA Investigative Committee reported.
