S&P affirms Armenia’s ratings, maintaining a positive outlook

YEREVAN, August 24. /ARКА/. The international rating agency S&P Global Ratings affirmed the long- and short-term sovereign ratings of the Republic of Armenia at ‘BB-/B’, maintaining a positive outlook, the Ministry of Finance reported.

Among the key factors supporting the rating, the agency highlighted Armenia’s prudent and predictable macroeconomic policy framework, favorable economic growth prospects, and manageable and sustainable public debt.

The positive outlook is driven by the potential for further strengthening of Armenia’s external resilience, in particular the progress noted toward normalizing regional relations.
