YEREVAN, September 11. /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia will put into circulation a silver commemorative coin, “35th Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia,” on September 14, 2026, the regulator’s press service reported.
The coin is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia—the period from 1991 to 2026.
The obverse depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia and an Armenian ornament.
The reverse features the building of the National Assembly of Armenia, a stylized image of the tricolor flag, the inscription “35th Anniversary of the Republic of Armenia” in Armenian, and the words from the national anthem “Our Homeland”—”… Let There Always Be Armenia.”
The designer is Eduard Kurginyan. The coin was minted at the Lithuanian Mint.
The denomination of the commemorative coin is 5,000 drams. It is made of 925 sterling silver, weighs 168.1 grams, and has a diameter of 63 mm.
The edition is limited to 300 pieces.
