Prometey Bank’s authorized capital built up by AMD 3 billion 550 million

YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. Prometey Bank added AMD 3 billion 550 million to its authorized capital on Wednesday, the bank’s press office reports.

The bank did it thanks to the placement of 35,500 registered preference shares worth 100,000 drams each.

The shares were bought by Prometey City, the bank’s shareholder.

As a result, Prometey Bank’s capital has reached AMD 30.5 billion exceeding the regulator-required minimum size.

The bank says in its press release that it will keep filling its capital constantly and expects that the capital will amount to AMD 33 billion already by January 1, 2017.

To enhance effectiveness, firmness and stability of banks the Central Bank of Armenia put a new requirement to banks – their capital must amount to no less than AMD 30 billion from January 1, 2017 instead of the present AMD 5 billion.

Prometey Bank’s assets totaled AMD 85.8 billion in the third quarter of this year and liabilities AMD 60.1 billion. Its total capital amounted to AMD 25.7 billion and credit exposure AMD 39.2 billion.

The bank earned AMD 728 million in the third quarter as net profit. —0—
