Total assets of Armenian Banks in 2012 grow by 18% to about 2. 412.2 trillion drams

YEREVAN, January 21. / ARKA /. The total assets of 21 Armenia-based banks in 2012 grew by 18% to about 2. 412.2 trillion drams. According to an analysis of ARKA news agency based on their statements for the 4th quarter of last year, ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK was the leader by size of its assets which grew by 14 percent to about 249 billion drams.  It accounted for 10.3 percent of the total assets of the banking system.

Other leaders were  Ameriabank – 245 billion drams (almost a 22 percent rise from the beginning of last year), VTB Bank (Armenia) – 212.8 billion drams ( 19.3% growth), HSBC Bank Armenia – about 211.5 billion drams (18.1% growth) and Ardshininvestbank – about 204.5 billion drams (27.5% growth).  M.M. -0- ($ 1 – 406.54 drams).
