Armenian banks’ transfers to government budget increased 10% to AMD 41.2 billion in 2015

YEREVAN, January 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s all 21 banks were among the country’s 1000 biggest taxpayers in 2015, the Armenian tax agency reports on its website.

They transferred about AMD 41.2 billion to the government budget in 2015 against AMD 37.5 billion in 2014.

In 2015, AMD 41.12 billion came to the government budget from banks in taxes and about AMD 154.7 million as customs duties.

Direct taxes (income and profit taxes) totaled about AMD 37 billion and indirect taxes (VAT, excise tax) amounted to AMD 2.5 billion. Another 1.6 billion came to the budget as other taxes and mandatory payments.

Banks’ share in the country’s total tax revenue was 51.2% in 2015.

Top five taxpayers among Armenia’s banks are Ameriabank, which was placed 15th in the list of the 1000 largest taxpayers for paying AMD 5.4 billion in 2015, VTB Bank (Armenia), which sent about AMD 4.45 billion to the government budget and won the 24th positioning the ranking, Ardshinbank that came 25th in the ranking by paying AMD 4.36 billion, HSBC Bank Armenia (29th and AMD 3.6 billion respectively) and Armbusinessbank (31st and AMD 3.56 billion).

The following banks found themselves among the biggest 100 taxpayers: ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK (38th, AMD 3.26 million), Inecobank (53rd, about AMD 2.25 million), Unibank (57th, AMD 2.1 billion), Araratbank (67th, AMD 1.7 billion), ConverseBank (70th, AMD 1.68 million), Armeconombank (75th, AMD 1.59 million), Anelik Bank (89th, AMD 1.35 billion) and

Areximbank – Gazprombank Group (93rd, AMD 1.29 billion).
Armenia’s 1000 largest taxpayers transferred about AMD 696.5 billion to the government budget in 2015 against AMD 700.5 billion in 2014 (0.6% decline). –0—–
