Average market exchange rate of dram rises against USD

Ahead of the tourist season, VTB (Armenia) is strengthening its acquiring infrastructure, expanding its network and introducing digital payment solutions.

All 17 Armenia-based commercial banks are included in the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers in the first quarter of 2026, having paid a total of 28.65 billion drams to the state budget, according to data released today by the State Revenue Committee.

Armenian Acba Bank is expanding its international partner network by partnering with one of the world's most respected financial institutions, The Bank of New York Mellon, the bank's press service reported.

Gross reserves in Armenia increased to $5.5 billion at the end of March, equivalent to 4.1 months of import coverage, according to the World Bank's "Armenia Monthly Economic Update – March 2026."

As of April 23, 2026, the average exchange rate for the US dollar to the Armenian dram, established in the Armenian foreign exchange market, has fallen by 0.55 points from April 22, now standing at 371.83 drams.
