“Bank VTB (Armenia)” Organized Excursion To The World Of Stars And Historical Monuments Of Armenia For Pupils

YEREVAN, October 18. /ARKA/. On the eve of autumn holidays, Bank VTB (Armenia) made a present for the pupils of comprehensive Russian school N21 of the Russian Ministry of Defense operating in Armenia.

On October 16, Saturday, the Bank organized excursion to famous Byurakan astrophysical observatory and ancient castle Hamberd (VII century) located in the southern slope of the mountain Aragats.

Children learned a lot of new, interesting and unusual things from qualified guides about the life and discoveries of great astrophysicist Viktor Hambardzumyan, opportunities and principles of work of great mirror telescope, stars, remote galaxies and the Earth.

Another surprise for the schoolchildren was the visit to the ruins of ancient castle and church Hamberd. Panorama of the majestic mountain and picturesque gorge, view of 15-meter high castle walls and secret underground passages, introduction to the bravery of Armenian warriors, famous royal families of Hamberd during different historical periods impressed the children, increased their knowledge about Armenia which has centuries-old rich historical and cultural traditions.

“Conduction of such charitable actions by the Bank VTB (Armenia) for the pupils of Yerevan comprehensive Russian school N21 of the Russian Ministry of Defense became a good tradition. Our Bank provides the school with textbooks, modernization of classrooms and equipment, improvement of material-technical base of the school in general.
