Weighted average rate of Armenian dram to US dollar is 362.26 for $1 on January 27, 2011

At its meeting on Tuesday, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia decided to raise the monetary policy rate by 0.25 percentage points to 6.75%.

Yesterday, the Central Bank of Armenia raised its monetary policy rate for the first time in over three years. After setting the rate at 10.75% in December 2022, it remained unchanged for several months, and in June 2023, the Central Bank began a gradual rate reduction cycle.

Armenian investment company assets have grown approximately sixfold since 2021, from 67 billion drams to over 400 billion drams, said Grigor Harutyunyan, CEO of Dimension Investments.

Food and non-alcoholic beverage prices account for 57% of inflation, despite a slowdown in their growth rate from 8.6% in June to 6.4% in August, according to the World Bank's Armenia "Monthly Economic Update – September 2026."
