Mid-market rate of Armenian dram to us dollar is 371.35 for $1 on September 29, 2011

Daniel Azatyan, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia, believes the current number of commercial banks in the country is optimal, but theoretically allows for market consolidation.

The situation with the acceptance of Russian cash rubles by Armenian banks will be largely resolved, stated Daniel Azatyan, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia.

The net inflow of cross-border transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $1.38 billion in January-June 2026, compared to $587.6 million in January-June 2025, according to a report from the Central Bank of the Republic.

The Central Bank of Armenia kept the interest rate unchanged because it has not yet seen any deviation in inflation expectations from the target level, stated Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Hovhannes Khachatryan.
