Armenian dram got stronger by 0.5 percent in September

YEREVAN, October 3. / ARKA /. The Armenian national currency, the dram, strengthened against the US Dollar in September if compared with August declining by 0.5 percent, while consumer prices rose by 0.8 percent in the same time span, the National Statistical Service (ArmStat) said.

ArmStat said when compared to 2011 September, the 0.6 percent consumer price rise was accompanied by a 3.3 percent rise in dram’s value against US Dollar. In 2012 September the average exchange rate of a USD was 408.77 drams. -0-
