Car loans by Armenian Banks grow 2.8% to 16.1bln drams in October

YEREVAN, December 14. /ARKA/.  Car loans extended by Armenia’s commercial banks totalled about 16.1bln drams by the end of October, Armenia’s Central Bank reported. This is a 2.8% increase against the amount recorded by the end of September.

Dram loans prevailed in the total number of car financing (99.6%). This means that car loans in drams amounted to a total of about 16bln drams by the end of October, which is an increase of 2.7% against the month before.

There were 21 commercial banks operating in Armenia as of the end of October, 2012. ($1=405.89drams). -00-
