Top ten of Armenian banks by the number of ATMs

YEREVAN, May 15. / ARKA /. ARKA news agency has compiled a ranking of  top 10 banks by the number of ATMs in  the first quarter of 2013. Of 21 banks two did not have ATMs. The other 19 ran as of late March  some 1,193 ATMs- 665 in the capital Yerevan, 403  in the regions and 57 in Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the Central Bank of Armenia, the total volume of transactions made by using payment cards issued by Armenian and foreign banks through ATMs amounted to 72. 493 billion drams as of late March, while the total number of transactions was  1,463,308.

According to ARKA ranking, the top 10 banks in terms of ATMs number are ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK, VTB Bank (Armenia), Armbusinessbank, Ameriabank Ardshiinvestbank, Unibank, Armeconombank Areximbank-Gazprombank Group, Conversebank and Araratbank.

Together these ten banks operated 959 ATMs, 563  in Yerevan, 372  in regions and 24  in Nagorno-Karabakh. The leading bank by the number of ATMs was ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK that operated 167 machines – 83 in Yerevan and 84 in the regions of the country.  The second was VTB Bank (Armenia), operating 112 ATMs: 55  in Yerevan, 55 in the regions and 2 in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The third position was occupied by  Armbusinessbank with  105 ATMs-  50 ATMs in Yerevan  44  in the regions and  11 in Nagorno-Karabakh. Ameriabank was fourth with 93 ATMs – 71 in Yerevan, 18 in the regions and 4 in Nagorno-Karabakh. The fifth was Ardshiinvestbank with 90 ATMs – 45 in the capital, 43 in the regions and 2 in Nagorno-Karabakh. Unibank was sixth with 85 ATMs- 48 in Yerevan, 35 in the regions and  2  in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The seventh was Armeconombank with 80 ATMs -58 in the capital and 22 in the regions. Eighth was Areximbank-Gazprombank Group with 79 ATMs – 54 in the capital and 25 in the regions. The ninth position was given to Conversebank with 77 ATMs -49 in Yerevan , 26 in the regions and 2 in Nagorno-Karabakh. On the tenth line was Araratbank with 71 ATM. – 50 in Yerevan,  20 in the regions and 1 in Nagorno-Karabakh. -0-
