RESO named best health insurance company in Armenia

YEREVAN, June 21. / ARKA /. RESO was recognized as the best health insuring company in Armenia at a special ‘Star of Hope 2013’ national award ceremony yesterday, the company told ARKA in a press release. The prize was awarded by the head of external relations department and press officer of the Office of the Defender of Human Rights.

RESO executive director Samvel Grigoryan praised the staff of medical institutions saying their role in saving human lives is extremely important.

“But the doctors will confirm that this good cause is hampered by financial problems, and insurance is the” magic wand” that can help resolve this problem,” he said.

The winner of the award was determined by popular vote organized by People’s Confidence Council.
“As a fast growing company RESO has become one of the leading Armenian insurance companies, excelling particularly in health insurance,’ the press release says.

In 2012, the company received about 45,000 phone calls from customers with health problems, of which about 21,000 were registered as application. This year it has received already 42б000 calls of which 10,000 were registered as applications.

In 2012-2013, the company has arranged 660 surgical operations for treating diseases posing threat to human life worth 500 million drams.

“The mission of RESO is aimed at promoting a civilized market and insurance culture,“ the press release said.

RESO launched operations at Armenian market November 12, 2008. In 2009 November the company was renamed ZAO RESO. Its shareholders are JSC Poligrafia – 50% and CIS Equity Partners Limited” – 50%. -0-
