Armenia’s Central Bank issues a World Cup 2014 coin

YEREVAN, July 1. /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) has put into circulation a new commemorative silver coin, ‘World Cup 2014’, CBA’s press office told ARKA on Tuesday.

The nominal value of the coin is 100 drams. The coin bears the anthem of the Republic of Armenia, names and flags of 32 countries participating in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

A total of 5,000 such coins were minted of silver of 9,250 standard, ‘proof’ quality, diameter 38.60mm and weight 20 grams each.

The coins are minted by German “GEIGER EDELMETALLE GmbH”. -0-
