Consumer prices in Armenia 2.7% up in January 2018

YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Consumer prices in Armenia rose 2.7% in January 2018, compared with January 2017, the National Statistical Service reported on Tuesday.

Prices for foods, spirits and tobacco products went 4% up and nonfoods and services 3.5% and 0.6% respectively.

In January 2018, compared with the previous month, consumer prices rose 2.7%. The price rise was mostly due to a 5.7% increase in prices for foods and soft drinks.

In the government budget for 2018, inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%). -0—
