2018 inflation is lower than projected, according to central bank

YEREVAN, December 18 /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank expects the inflation in the outgoing year to be lower than projected, a Central Bank Board member Artur Stepanyan told reporters on Tuesday.

He said the 12-month inflation in late November 2018 was 1.8%, and by the end of the year it is expected to be in the range of 1.5-1.8%.

According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, consumer prices in November 2018 increased by 1.8% from November 2017. The government’s projection of inflation for 2018 is 4% (± 1.5%). -0-
