Off-budget accounts of government bodies to be closed

YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia has approved today a set of changes to more than a dozen laws, which provide for the closure of so-called off-budget accounts of government agencies.

Deputy Minister of Finance Brutyan said all off-budget accounts will be registered as budget receipts and will no longer be used separately by various departments at their discretion. He added that use of funds from these accounts will be recorded as government budget expenses.
According to him, this decision stems form the government’s program of measures. -0-
