In 2018 Armenian pawnshops provided 8.1 billion drams worth loans

YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. In 2018 Armenian pawnshops provided a total of 8.1 billion drams worth loans, which was 2.3% more than in 2017, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
According to the official data, the amount of assets of pawnshops decreased last year by 1.9% to 10.28 billion drams.

During the reporting period, their liabilities amounted to 8.4 billion drams, an increase of 3.6% from the previous year, and funds raised grew by 4% to 7.9 billion drams.

At the end of 2018, there were 127 pawnshops in the country, down from 133 a year earlier -0-
