Armenian central bank raises refinancing rate to 5.5%

YEREVAN, February 2. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank has decided today to raise the refinancing rate by 0.25% setting it at 5.5%.

According to the press service of the regulator, the pawnshop repo rate provided by the Central Bank was 7%, and the rate on funds attracted from other banks was 4%.

Before that the Central Bank changed the refinancing rate on December 15, 2020, increasing it by 1.0 percentage points, to 5.25%. -0-
