Some 30,000 new bank accounts opened in Armenia in March- minister

YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. About 30 thousand new bank accounts were opened in Armenia in March, 2022, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said.

“Our banks carry out the usual know your customer (KYC) checks, which now take a bit longer time due to the fact that we have to check all the companies for their possible involvement in the sanctions lists. This slows down the opening of accounts, nevertheless we had about 30,000 new accounts opened in March,” he said in an interview with Russian Kommersant. -0-
