Euro appreciates against dram by 2.13 points

Risks to financial stability in Armenia are mitigated by banks' strong capital and liquidity positions, according to the international ratings agency Fitch Ratings.

A major milestone in the institutional alignment of Armenia’s financial and real sectors was recorded on July 8, as bonds issued by Renshin LLC—a leading real estate developer—were officially listed on the Armenian Securities Exchange (AMX).

The average market exchange rate for the US dollar against the Armenian dram, determined on the Armenian foreign exchange market as of July 15, 2026, rose by 0.51 points compared to July 14, reaching 367.25 drams.

The report of the Council of Europe Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL) on Armenia documented the country's progress in developing its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing systems, but identified insufficient effectiveness in investigations, prosecutions, and confiscation of criminal assets, as well as the need for stronger oversight in several economic sectors.

The average market exchange rate for the US dollar against the Armenian dram, formed on the Armenian foreign exchange market as of July 14, 2026, increased by 0.05 points compared to July 13, reaching 366.74 drams.
