Central Bank of Armenia has kept the refinancing rate at 6.75% for the fifth time in a row

YEREVAN, September 16. /ARKA/. At its meeting on September 16, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia left the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%.

The Lombard repo rate has also remained unchanged at 8.25% and the rate for attracting funds at 5.25%, the regulator’s press servireported.

This is the fifth time since June 2023 that the refinancing rate has remained unchanged.

On June 13, 2023, the Central Bank set the rate at 10.5%, decreasing it by 0.25 percentage points, on August 1 it lowered it to 10.25%, on September 12 – to 9.75%, on October 31 – to 9.5%, on December 12 – to 9.25%, on January 30, 2024 – to 8.75%, on March 12 – to 8.5%, on April 30 – to 8.25%, on June 11 – to 8%, on July 30 – to 7.75%, on September 10 – to 7.50%, on October 29 – to 7.25%, on December 10 – to 7%, and on February 4 – to 6.75%.
