IMF Improves Armenia’s GDP Growth Forecast to 5.3% in 2026

YEREVAN, April 15. /ARKA/. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts real GDP growth for Armenia at 5.3% in 2026 and 5.5% in 2027, according to the April World Economic Outlook, published on April 14.

In October 2025, the IMF forecast 4.9% economic growth for Armenia in 2026.

According to the IMF, average annual inflation in the country will be 3.6% in 2026, up from 2.8% in the October forecast, and 3.4% in 2027.

Armenia’s current account deficit in 2026 is expected to be 6% of GDP, compared to 4.7% of GDP according to the October forecast, and 5.2% of GDP in 2027.
