A young couple created a “honey planet” in Garni

YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. Three years ago, young spouses Narek Sargsyan and Ruzanna Danielyan created their own “honey planet” in Garni—Bee Planet.

Initially, the project was conceived as a small production facility and apiary, but over time, the couple decided to expand their idea.

Today, Bee Planet is not only a guesthouse but also a place with a honey tasting room and a special room for apitherapy—treatments using bee products.

Now the couple offers guests a variety of honey-based products—from creamed honey to honey wine—as well as cosmetics: soap, face creams, dry perfumes, body oils, and other products.

Bee Planet is one of the participants in the scholarship program jointly implemented by the Acba Federation and Impact Hub. Following months of training and meetings, Narek and Ruzanna gained new business knowledge, useful connections, and practical experience.

“Initially, we planned to create only an apiary and a small production facility, but after some time, our plans changed. We decided to create a space that would include a guesthouse, a honey tasting room, and a honey-based production facility. Along the way, the need to deepen our knowledge arose, and we participated in training programs organized by the Acba Federation and Impact Hub. Thanks to them, we were able to refine our skills,” notes Narek Sargsyan, co-founder of the Bee Planet guesthouse.

“On the way to creating the guesthouse, there were many days when I felt it was impossible, that I lacked the energy and resources. But the next day, I remembered our goal and kept working. I think the most important thing is believing in yourself and your idea, which is the main driving force,” notes Ruzanna Danielyan, co-founder of the Bee Planet guesthouse.

The Acba Federation is the sole significant shareholder in Acba Bank, owning over 75 percent of its shares. Through its capital stake, the Acba Federation contributes to the development of agriculture throughout Armenia, small and medium-sized businesses in rural areas, community development, the revitalization and strengthening of the business environment, and the improvement of the well-being of entrepreneurs operating in these sectors.
