Moody’s Upgrades Unibank’s Rating Outlook to Positive and Affirms B1 Long-Term Deposit Ratings

YEREVAN, July 30. /ARKA/. Moody’s Ratings has affirmed Unibank’s long-term deposit ratings at B1, as well as its b2 BCA and Adjusted BCA. At the same time, Moody’s upgraded the outlook on the Bank’s long-term deposit ratings to Positive from Stable.

The positive outlook on the long-term deposit ratings reflects the improving operating environment in Armenia, which could place upward pressure on the bank’s BCA and ratings. The affirmation of Unibank’s b2 BCA and Adjusted BCA reflects the bank’s strong asset quality, robust profitability and limited reliance on less-stable funding.

According to Moody’s, Armenia’s longer-term growth potential has strengthened, supported by sustained capital investment that is
driving productivity gains and improving the economy’s resilience to shocks.
