“Unisport” Advances to the Main Round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League

YERVAN, September 1. /ARKA/. Armenian champions and cup winners “Unisport” have secured a place in the main round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League after recording three consecutive victories in the preliminary round of the tournament. In their final group-stage match, “Unisport” defeated German champions “Weilimdorf” 5:2. Rafik Melikyan and Putrus Vasilev scored twice each for the Armenian side, while goalkeeper Bekbolot Akmataliev added another goal. With a maximum of 9 points, “Unisport” confidently finished first in Group E and will continue their campaign in the main round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League.

Futsal club “Unisport” was established with the support of Unibank, which is the team’s general sponsor. The main round matches will take place from October 27 to November 1 in Luxembourg. “Unisport’s” opponents will be “Kauno Žalgiris (Lithuania), “Differdange 03” (Luxembourg) and “Doukas” (Greece).
