Market capitalization exceeded 356 billion drams in August – Armenia Securities Exchange

YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. Equity market capitalization in August 2026 exceeded 356.2 billion drams, the press service of the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) reported.

It was noted that the volume of stock trading during the reporting month amounted to over 153.4 million drams. 288 transactions were concluded.

Bonds
The total volume of government bond auctions on the AMX primary market in August exceeded 53.4 billion drams. Sixty-two transactions worth over 21 billion drams were concluded on the secondary market, a 135% increase over the same period last year.

In August, trading volume in the corporate bond market increased by 72% compared to the same period last year, reaching over 10.5 billion drams. During the reporting period, 2,085 transactions were concluded on 221 corporate bonds traded on the exchange at the end of August. “This steady growth reflects healthy demand for corporate bonds,” the statement reads.

Repo Transactions

The total volume of repo transactions exceeded 22.8 billion drams. In August, 119 repo transactions were concluded, exceeding the same period last year by 361%.

Currency Exchange

In August, approximately 277 million drams worth of US dollar conversions were completed in four transactions on the AMX currency exchange. During the month, the exchange rate fluctuated between 364.25 and 364.5 drams.
