YEREVAN, September 16. /ARKA/. Since January 1, no changes have been made to Armenia’s health insurance package that would lead to a reduction in services or the transition of any of them to a fee-based basis, stated RA Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan.
“No, the rules of the game have not changed. The package remains the same. On the contrary, some things have been added, meaning certain changes have been positive. For example, we have made some additions to the list of medications,” Avanesyan said in an interview with Public Television.
Regarding the insurance premium for citizens with salaries up to 200,000 drams, the minister noted that a model was chosen that will balance the burden between the state, employer, and employee.
According to her, it is envisaged that out of the 10,800 drams insurance premium, citizens will pay 2,000 drams from the amount not transferred to the Military Insurance Fund, while the state and employers will each pay 4,400 drams.
