YEREVAN, October 5. /ARKA/. Armenia and the French Development Agency (AFD) are discussing future cooperation in the areas of irrigation infrastructure and agriculture, energy, solid waste management, and private sector development, the press service of the Armenian government reports.
These issues were addressed during a meeting between Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan and an AFD delegation led by Rima Le Coguic, the agency’s newly appointed Regional Director for Enlargement and European Neighborhood.
The delegation is visiting Armenia for the second annual consultations between the Armenian government and the French Development Agency.
Khachatryan congratulated Le Coguic on her appointment and expressed confidence in the continuation of effective cooperation between Armenia and the AFD.
The Deputy Prime Minister also praised the format of the annual consultations with the agency, noting their importance for discussing ongoing cooperation and defining directions for future collaboration.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the bilateral agenda, discussing current cooperation and potential new initiatives.
