YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. Equity market capitalization in September 2026 stood at approximately AMD 352.4 billion, the press service of the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) reported.
The volume of stock trading on the exchange during the reporting month amounted to approximately AMD 143 million, with 207 transactions concluded.
Bonds
The total volume of government bond placement auctions on the AMX primary market in September exceeded AMD 45.4 billion. On the secondary market, 91 transactions were executed with a total volume exceeding AMD 44.8 billion—a 129% increase compared to the same period last year.
In September, trading volume in the corporate bond market grew by 56% year-on-year, reaching over AMD 15.4 billion. During the reporting period, 1,906 transactions were concluded involving 224 corporate bonds listed on the exchange as of the end of September.
“This steady growth reflects healthy demand for corporate bonds,” the statement noted.
Repo Transactions
The total volume of repo transactions exceeded AMD 28.5 billion. A total of 184 repo transactions were concluded, representing a 361% increase compared to the same period last year.
Currency Market
In September, a US dollar conversion transaction worth approximately AMD 327.6 million was executed on the AMX currency market. Over the course of the month, the exchange rate stood at 364 drams.
