Armenian brokerage market until 2030: ARKA agency presented a study

YEREVAN, October 27. /ARKA/. The Armenian brokerage market continues to grow, but its future development will be determined not so much by the number of open accounts as by its ability to attract and retain active investors. This is the conclusion reached by ARKA news agency based on the results of its expert comparative study, “Brokerage Market in Armenia – 2026.”

The study is based on in-depth expert interviews with representatives of five major market participants – Ameriabank, Unibank, Freedom Finance Armenia, Landmark Capital, and Sirius Capital – conducted in the spring of 2026.

The analysis revealed significant differences in estimates of the market’s size, approaches to developing brokerage services, and perceptions of the industry’s prospects.

Most respondents consider a lack of investment knowledge to be one of the main obstacles to mass investment. Other constraints include a shortage of available funds among the population and the insufficient depth of the domestic capital market. “Our goal wasn’t simply to gather market participants’ opinions, but to compare their assessments and identify commonalities and fundamental differences. This kind of comparative analysis allows us to better understand how the Armenian brokerage market is changing, what drives its growth, and what challenges its participants face. We expect this research will be a useful tool for banks, investment companies, and anyone making strategic decisions in the capital market,” noted ARKA News Agency Director Konstantin Petrosov.

The study focuses on competition between banks and investment companies, the behavior of private investors, broker selection criteria, the demand for Armenian and foreign financial instruments, the revenue structure of brokerage firms, and potential market development scenarios through 2030.

The full version presents comparative assessments of participants and key findings on market prospects.

The study is intended for banks, investment companies, professional capital market participants, analysts, and other interested organizations.

The full version of the study is available for purchase. Detailed information on the content and terms of purchase is available from ARKA News Agency by email at  [email protected].
