Volume of compensations in January-February in Armenia was about 1.3 billion drams

YEREVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. Insurance companies of Armenia in January-February paid 5 955 compensations for mandatory car insurance  in the total amount of about 1 278.3 million drams, says the site of  Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Armenia.
According to the press-release, in Armenia as of February 29 over 311.2 thousand vehicles were insured, the number of applications for compensations was about 6.8 thousand, and applications has not been satisfied in 112 cases.
At present, compensations in the total amount of 109.7 million drams are in the process of payment.
The size of insurance premiums in January was about 7.3 billion drams.
Today eight companies operate in the insurance market of Armenia.
The institute of mandatory insurance of liability operates in Armenia since January 1, 2011. Control over the insurance market is implemented since January 1, 2006 by the Central Bank of Armenia where the system of unified financial control is operating. ($1-387.93 drams). –0–
