Armenia’s money base increases by 7 billion drams to 472 billion

YEREVAN, June 2, /ARKA/. Armenia’s money base increased by 7 billion Drams in April or by 1.5% to about 472 billion Drams, the National Statistical Service reported.

It said cash reserve at the end of April stood at 280 billion Drams, up from 276.4 billion Drams from the end of March, 2010. The volume of mandatory reserves in Drams rose to 38.1 billion from late March, the volume of Dram denominated mandatory reserves in forex dropped to 149.7 billion from 157.4 billion Drams.

Net international reserves (privatization-raised proceeds not counted) rose by 9.9 billion Drams from late March to 488.2 billion Drams. The volume of internal assets was less 16.2 billion Drams against 13.3 billion Drams in late March. ($1 – 377.97 Drams).-0-
