Government bill to exempt businessmen from VAT

YEREVAN, July 15, /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a package  of amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax (VAT), exempting  entrepreneurs and individual businessmen from VAT payments in the event of investing into their companies’ chartered capital.

Finance minister Tigran Davtian said the bill was designed to encourage investments in companies’ chartered capital. In his words this is expected to stimulate economic development. -0-
