Insurance Amounts of Armenian Insurance Companies Were 2968.1 Billion Drams In The Q2

YEREVAN, August 4. /ARKA/. Insurance amounts of Armenian insurance companies were 2968.1 billion drams in the second quarter of 2010 reduced by 11.2% compared with the first quarter of 2010, states the review of CB Armenia on the activity of insurance companies for the first half years of 2010.

Total size of insurance payments were 4.8 billion drams in the second quarter of 2010 increased 2.4 times compared with the first quarter of 2010, of which 2.4 billion drams was transferred to re-insurers.

Volume of insurance payments was 782 million drams in the second quarter of 2010, increased 2.2 times compared with the 1st quarter of 2010. The share of re-insurance in the volume of insurance payments was 223 million drams.

Volume of insurance reserves of insurance companies was 2865 million drams as of June 30, 2010 vs. 2837 million drams in the first quarter of 2010.

As of June 30, 2010, 12 insurance companies operate in Armenia. Control over insurance market is implemented by CB Armenia since January 1, 2006, i.e. the system of united financial control. ($1 – 368.58 drams). –0–
