Araratbank selected by diner’s club as its exclusive representative in Armenia

YEREVAN, December 13, /ARKA/. Armenian Araratbank has been selected by Diner’s Club international payment system as its exclusive representative in Armenia. The bank said in a press release that ‘due to an exclusive agreement with the Diner’s Club Araratbank’s network of ATMs and encashment points join Diner’s Club’s international networks.’

It said also Araratbank will service all holders of Diner’s Club cards.

“By selecting Araratbank as its exclusive representative in Armenia Diner’s Club has recognized its high level corporate policy and the quality of its services,’ the press release said.

‘Cooperation with Diner’s Club has become possible due to Araratbank’s progress in improvement of its financial indicators, its policy of expanding the network of its branches, ATMs and encashment points as well as due to its high place in the area of services and operations by plastic cards,’ the press release said.

Araratbank, previously called Haykap Bank, was founded in 1991 and provides a full range of banking services to corporate, MSME and retail customers. The bank has established a reputation as a small but reliable and dynamically growing financial institution. EBRD holds 25% in Araratbank. The rest is held by Barsegh Beglarian, head of the biggest petrol importing company Flash. It joined NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange in 2009 January. -0-
