Armenian Ameriabank awarded ifc GTFP award 2010

YEREVAN, May 27. / ARKA /. The International Financial Corporation (IFC) awarded Armenian Ameriabank GTFP Award 2010 prize recognizing it as the most active issuing bank in the South Caucasus within the frameworks of its Global Trade Financing Program (GTFP).

According to an Ameriabank press release, in 2010 it executed $26 million worth transactions with documentary letters of credits.

GTFP Award 2010 was handed to Ameriabank’s head of trade financing department Suren Kocharian during IFC annual meeting in Istanbul, attended by 288 representatives of 190 banks. Ameriabank is the first South Caucasian bank to have been awarded GTFP award. After the ceremony Suren Kocharian met with representative from leading banks to discuss ways to boost cooperation.

Ameriabank is a corporate investment bank providing investment, corporate and limited retail banking services in an integrated package of banking solutions. It is owned by Troika Dialog, one of the largest investment companies in Russia.  -0-
