Transactions in securities at NASDAQ OMX Armenia drop by 20 percent in may

YEREVAN, June 8. / ARKA /. The total amount of transactions in securities effected at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange in 2011 May dropped to 154.8 million from 194.2 million in April, the stock exchange said in a press release. The drop amounted to 20.3%.

The amount of transactions in corporate bonds totaled o 37.7 million drams or 24.4% of all transactions in securities. The volume of trading in government bonds totaled 117 million or 75.6% of all transactions. And only 54,500 dram worth shares were sold and bought in May, making 0.03% of all transactions.

According to an ARKA analysis, based on NASDAQ OMX Armenia reports, Conversebank was the leader by size of corporate bonds transitions totaling in May 26.7 million drams or 70.7% of all corporate bond transactions.
