Volume of non-cash payments by CBA systems in Armenia in the second quarter increased by 51% to 4583 billion drams

YEREVAN, September 7. /ARKA/. Volume of non-cash payments in Armenia in the second quarter of 2011 by CBA systems increased by 51% or 1541 billion drams compared to the same period of 2010 making 4583 billion drams.

According to the information provided to “ARKA” by CBA press-service, the number of payments through CBA payment systems in the second quarter of 2011 was 958111 increased by 22% or 174576.

According to the “Bulletin of Central Bank of Armenia” for the second quarter of 2011, the volume of non-cash payments through CBA payment systems reduced by 16% (636 billion drams) and the number of transactions increased by 20% or 163901 compared to the first quarter of 2011.

Mid-daily volume of money transfers through CBA payment systems (without stock exchange activity) was about 72 billion drams, increased by 24 billion drams compared to the same period of 2010. Mid-daily number of transactions in the reporting period was 15392 increased by 2728 transactions.

Mid-daily volume of money transfer related to the stock exchange activity in the second quarter of 2011 was 176 billion drams , reduced by 21 billion drams compared to the same indicator in 2010.

In total, in the second quarter of 2011 the volume of non-cash payments was 5546 billion drams in Armenia and the number of non-cash transactions – 2885487. ($1 – 369.77 drams). -0-
