Deposits in banks increase by 2.6% to 876.9 billion drams

YEREVAN, October 28. / ARKA /. At the end of September the amount of deposits attracted by commercial banks of Armenia increased by 2.6% compared with the previous month and amounted to the total 876.9 billion drams, according to a statement posted on the official website of the Central Bank of Armenia.

As opposed to the beginning of the year the amount of deposits attracted by banks was by 25.7% higher in late September.

The amount of deposits in Armenian drams grew by 4.1% from August 2011 to about 266.9 billion drams. Deposits in foreign currency increased by 0.6% to 610 billion drams. ($1 – 378.42 AMD).  -0-
