Growth Of Economic Activity In September Was 9% In Armenia – Statistics

YEREVAN, October 31. /ARKA/. In the Armenian economy in September 2011 growth of economic activity by 9% was registered compared to the same period of 2010, Armenian National Statistic Service informed ARKA News Agency. Growth of the given indicator was 17% in September 2011 compared to August 2011.
Growth of the given indicator in January-September 2011 was 6.4% compared to the same period of 2010.

According to statistical data, in the construction sphere decline of 25.2% was registered. Volume of construction works in September 2011 was over 49.1 billion drams increased by 19.4% compared to August 2011.
Growth of industry by 16.6% in September 2011 compared to the same period of 2010 provided the volume of industrial production by more than 92.7 billion drams increased by 9.4% in September compared to August.
In September 2011 the volume of agriculture increased by 18.6% compared to September 2010 making over 169 billion drams. This indicator increased in September 2011 by 39.8% compared to August 2011.
In the reporting period growth of foreign trade turnover by 26.7% was registered compared to the same period in 2010 making over 195.4 billion drams ($525.3 million). This indicator increased by 1.9% in September 2011 compared to August 2011.
In September 2011 the volume of the provided services increased by 3.5% compared to the same period of 2010 making over 79 billion drams. This indicator increased by 0.3% in September 2011 compared to August 2011.
According to the state budget, GDP growth in 2011 in Armenia was planned on the level of 4.6%. ($1-378.58 drams). –0—
