Armenia Has Ninth Largest Inflation In CIS

YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. In 2011 September Armenian inflation grew by 0.6% from a year earlier, according to the CIS Statistical Committee. In terms of inflation rise Armenia ranked ninth among other former Soviet republics.

According to CIS Statistical Committee, consumer prices in CIS rose year-on-year by 7.5%.

It said consumer prices in 2011 September in Armenia increased by 0.8% from August. According to the official data, the highest inflation of 74.5% was posted by Belarus, which was followed by Tajikistan with a year-on-year 9% inflation, Kazakhstan saw a 6.2% inflation, in Moldova it rose by 5.2%, in Russia by 4.7%, in Kyrgyzstan by 4.4%, in Ukraine by 4.2% and in Azerbaijan by 3.5%. No data for Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were available. –0–
